Accessible Facilities
Our guests in wheelchairs and parents with children in strollers will find it very easy to enjoy the museum. All exhibits are located on the ground floor. In addition, there is an elevator so that our events held on the 2nd floor are accessible to all.
Location
The Museum is conveniently located on the downtown square in Springfield, IL, just north of the Old State Capitol. It is a short walk from the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library. There are many fine and casual restaurants within walking distance.

Out of town guests, why not leave your car at home? The museum is a short two block walk from the Amtrak station.

Your Daily Tour Includes:
NCEES Education Theater (Approximately 10 mins)
You will begin your tour with a short video on the profession of surveying in the Education Theater and see the evolution of surveying through surveys of George Washington's River Farm.
